The Public Health Branch at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Qadisiyah held a panel discussion entitled “Detection of germs in imported meat”.

Objective of the workshop: –
1. Knowledge of bacterial bacterial content of these meat
2 – Comparison of the upper limit of these bacteria with the upper limits of the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control.

Summary :
The study was carried out for the purpose of investigating bacterial contamination in imported red and imported meat. The samples were planted on remote and diagnostic sites to investigate the bacterial contamination, which is mainly complete with coliform bacteria, staphylococcus and Salmonella species.

Results:-
The results of the study showed a high level of bacterial content in the imported red meat. The rates of bacterial and staphylococcus aureus were compared to local meat and their meat was close to the upper limits allowed by the Central Organization for Standardization and Iraqi Quality Control compared to local red meat, Out.
